A Bird’s High View – Museum Quality Print

$105.00$945.00

This new original piece of artwork is the first in a series of paintings which artist, Jay Alders takes his subject matter, technical approach and artistic style to a whole new level. “A Bird’s High View” was created on a 48 inch by 14 inch oak panel and at first sight one can see an exquisite combination of stylized linear composition and a barrage of beautiful earth tones. This tranquil scene gives us a peaceful yet powerful view which just pulls you in at first sight. “Many months ago during the middle of the summer, I was in bed sketching when a series of beautifully inspiring images rushed through my being. I had been thinking of fond memories from high above on the hills in Costa Rica, Hawaii and Brazil overlooking the tropical waters and trees below. I love watching birds soar imagining what it must feel like. I really wanted to push my style into a more stylized paradigm and try and capture that feeling with this piece.”

Bend in the Road – Archival Museum Quality Print

$90.00$1,090.00

“Bend in the Road” is a painting of an acoustic guitarist caught in a moment of inspiration and freedom. Between two seasons he finds a way to bend reality in an attempt to bring together his two sides. The only certainty is feeling comfortable in limbo and getting lost in the zone. Alders started this painting in 2009 inspired by his musician friend and left it aside until deciding to bring it to fruition in 2011. It was completed in January 2012.
