Pre-Sales Questions and Order Help

Giclée , commonly pronounced “jhee-clay,” are a an archival, high-quality, fine art print on canvas or fine art paper using ink-jet and digital methods. Giclée/Archival prints use inks which are tested to last over 150-200 years and are printed on acid-free surfaces.

Our French speaking customers may giggle when hearing the word Giclée, since it’s a rather naughty slang, so we prefer calling our Archival Prints “Museum Quality Prints”.

Whatever you call them, these Archival prints are the best quality prints with the longest longevity. Therefore their collectibility and investment value is higher than mass produced non-archival prints.

  3. IMPORTANT: VAT/Import Taxes – Please be aware that all of the EU and most other countries have their own “Import Duty”, “VAT” and/or Brokerage fee. This is completely out of our control and we can’t predict or calculate those fees.If this is a concern, here’s some more information and suggestions:
    A) You can use this link to estimate what the VAT tax may be.
    B) You may wish to check with your local UPS office, Postal Office or Customs Office to determine what these charges may be.
    C) These fees are mandatory if your country charges them.
    D) We will not claim your order as a gift to avoid this fee, so please don’t ask us.

NOTE: If you refuse to pay your country’s VAT or import taxes you are still responsible for the merchandise. We will not refund nor accept back merchandise due to unpaid taxes or fees. We cannot, of course, assume any responsibility for these extra charges that may be incurred in your country, and therefore these additional charges are your own responsibility.

  4. Saving Money On Postage – When ordering larger canvases or multiple bigger items to be shipped outside of the United States please contact us before ordering to determine actual shipping options and costs (*Note: USPS.com does not ship oversized packages, only UPS does.) We can sometimes save you on shipping costs by shipping canvases rolled in tubes or grouping items in one box. Some items like our apparel and merchandise may ship from Europe and other counties also which means very inexpensive shipping costs on those items.
  5. US Dollars – When you pay using your credit card or PayPal, the currency is converted automatically. We may also accept some cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin & Ethereum, contact us about that.
  6. Shipping Cost – The shipping fees that we charge are the actual discounted shipping costs that UPS or USPS charges us. Actually, we discount foreign orders and we pay for part of your cost to help lower your order amount. Our rates are discounted up to 67% automatically.

Random stuff gone wrong. Help!

When you attempt to place an order with an online merchant such as us, sometimes your bank or credit card will put a “temporary hold” on the funds you were going to pay with.
If your order didn’t process but you see money coming out of your online statement, give it a day or two and the ‘temporary hold’ will release and the funds will go back into your account. This is done by your credit card/bank, not us.
