Giclée , commonly pronounced “jhee-clay,” are a an archival, high-quality, fine art print on canvas or fine art paper using ink-jet and digital methods. Giclée/Archival prints use inks which are tested to last over 150-200 years and are printed on acid-free surfaces.
Our French speaking customers may giggle when hearing the word Giclée, since it’s a rather naughty slang, so we prefer calling our Archival Prints “Museum Quality Prints”.
Whatever you call them, these Archival prints are the best quality prints with the longest longevity. Therefore their collectibility and investment value is higher than mass produced non-archival prints.
