More Information

This painting of a sea turtle family was inspired by and commissioned by the Perruzzi family celebrating their daughter on the way. This wonderful couple has been collectors of my art for years and I was thrilled and honored to paint this for them.

Their trip to Hawaii was a highlight of their lives and they were particularly taken by the many green sea turtles they saw basking in the sun on the beaches around sunset.

The idea to paint their growing family as turtles in this tropical setting resonated with me and it was quite natural to find the proper inspiration whilst painting.
