Star Crossed – Museum Quality Print by Jay Alders

Description

About the Painting

Star Crossed was created for the band Echo Movement’s 2012 release “Love and the Human Outreach”. This oil painting captures a far off planet passing in front of a distant star. NASA’s Kepler Space Telescope recorded some data from such cosmic occurrences which the band converted into audible sounds as part of their songs.

For us, this album is thematically something weve been wanting to create for a long time. The music was heavily influenced by evolution, astrophysics and quantum mechanics, and tells the tale of a great journey. We had a lot of sessions with Jay to narrow down what we felt would be a great visual compliment to the music. Epic as he is, Jay combined all those ideas to create the star and planet. The detail he poured into the flames is remarkable, and portrays a lot of the little stories woven into the album lyrics.- Echo Movement

Phenomenal! You can look at this again and again having a different visual perspective each time. The hidden spiritual messages can be individually interpreted as well. I am looking forward to the next one. The colors are spectacular and Jay, you’ve outdone yourself. Bravo!
