A little girl walks barefoot through a grassy field collecting fireflies on a dreamy summer night.

This piece was also featured as an event poster for โ€œGirlsโ€™ Night Outโ€. A music festival in North Carolina with headlining act KT Tunstall, produced by The Empire Agency.

As I was working on this, I asked my daughter Summer to pose for me as reference. She didnโ€™t understand why I was having her walk across our front lawn with an empty mason jar but she did it anyway.

I showed her the finished piece and how I named it after her and she smiled with approval.
