The November 2008 issue of Surfer Magazine features Surfing/Music Legend, Donavon Frankenreiter as Guest Editor. This is proudly a “Lets Get Weird” Issue and we wouldn’t expect less from our friend Donavon.
“Donavon called me up to tell me about a vision he had for his Issue of Surfer Magazine. He continued to describe an animated Surfer flip-book to be printed on the botttom corner pages of the magazine that he wanted me to have a go at.
Despite the one week deadline and my next to zero experience animating, I was stoked to do it. Donavon’s such a good guy and has been so supportive, how could I say no to such a cool request?” – Jay Alders
