Last weekend we had two of our favorite Massachusetts buds stay over, Brian Bishop who flew in for the King of Kona 2013 contest in Jacksonville, Florida, up the road from our house and Patrick Hall in town for Surf Expo. These are probably two of the most animated friends we have, so to have them both in the same spot was pretty much wicked awesome.
Brian is a professional longboard skater for my friends over at Original Skateboards and of course crushed his competition and won.  Pulling Christ Airs and smoking past skaters on the snake run and landing his first 360 Judo air were some of the highlights of his runs.
I also had the pleasure to catch up with my longtime friend and founder of Wheelbase Magazine Marcus Bandy, whom I haven’t seen in a few years. Coincidentally, Marcus used to be one of our pro skaters when I co-owned Seed Skateboards a dozen years ago, so things really have come full circle for both of us.
