Brazil’s Alma Surf Magazine just announced the winners of the MELHORES DA PRAIA 2010 AWARDS, which celebrates and commemorates the 10 years anniversary of the magazine and consecrates the best of surf and beach of this last decade.
Jay Alders has proudly won the award for “Best Artist of the Decade: 10 YEARS OF ALMA SURF, 10 YEARS OF 21st Century.
39 categories had been placed under voting of a select group of thinkers of the segment that formed the Commission of Notables that chose the main names, facts, brands and movements that had marked time and revolutionizes surf and the beach in this period of birth of the ALMA Mag.
The Commission, formed by Rosaldo Cavalcanti (Globosat), Rico de Souza (Ricosurf.com), Ricardo Bocão (Woohoo), Carlos Sarli (Trip), Roberta Borges (Ehlas), Reinaldo Andraus (ALMA SURF), Steve Allain (Hardcore) e Renata Soares Netto (ESPN), plus the participation of the ALMA SURF crew, nominated three options and names for each category placed in voting.
The addition of all the indications – equal weights between the members of the Commission of Notables, ALMA SURF and readers – had officially proclaimed in the anniversary edition of ALMA SURF MAG (edition #60), the winners of the MELHORES DA PRAIA 2010 AWARDS, 10 YEARS OF 21st CENTURY.
