“Satori Tides“, an artistic tribute to my close friend and yoga inspiration, Yulady Saluti is now available for purchase with artist signed limited edition prints now available.
Yulady is one tough woman. Mother to six wonderful children, Yulady has survived breast cancer, had a double mastectomy, lived with a colostomy bag for four years, had over 20 surgeries and has become one of the internet’s most influential and inspiring yoga instructors.
In early 2014 my wife Chelsea and IÂ met Yulady and Jerry on the boardwalk of Asbury Park along with our baby daughter Summer. Â We felt a strong personal & spiritual connection and kept in touch. Â Since then we’ve nurtured a bond that is strong and unbreakable and they feel like family to us.
The past year has been a time of transition for the Saluti family. Deciding to start fresh, we convinced them to move to the beach. They quickly established roots and have been embraced with love by the Jersey shore community.  Yulady has been struggling with severe digestive issues and has tried everything to stay healthy and fit as she and her husband, fellow yoga guru Jerry Saluti. (@GeraldSaluti) motivate and inspire tens of thousands.
Recently Yulady’s unsuccessful efforts to bring function back to her colon and digestive system have led her back to surgery this past week. She just had a permanent colostomy bag fitted to her intestines again and in the past day there’s been complications. Â We are confident that Yulady will triumph and be strong through this, but her mounting medical bills that are uncovered by insurance have put stresses on the Saluti family.
I created this painting with love in my heart as each brushstroke graced the surface of the wood panel that it’s painted on. Â The birds represent Jerry and her six children and this pigeon pose is admittedly one of her favorites and most comfortable. Â As a yogi myself, I know the strength and serenity found in the breath and asana of yoga and I hope that this piece brings love and healing power to all those who view it.
