Thanks to my close friend, Sean Davey for the kind write up on me and my art that he recently posted on his Surf Photography Blog.
I’d like to take this time to reciprocate the good energy by telling you a little about Sean. Â For any of you whom already know his work, you can attest to the beauty and inspiration he captures so exquisitely through the lens of his trusty Canon. Â For any of you that haven’t been exposed to Davey’s work, sit back, set aside an hour at least and get ready to click away, because this is a ride you don’t want to neglect.
You can find his work on SeanDavey.com and his portfolio documents a lifetime of travels to some of the world’s most beautiful destinations, including his home, Oahu’s famed North Shore. Â I often view Sean’s work and feel completely in awe of the images he produces.
Sean and I have known each other a few years now and have since had the opportunities to visit each other’s homes, travel on tours in Brazil together (with G. Love, Donavon, Matt Costa and ALO to name a few) and have entwined one another in our circles of close friends. Â Sean’s been so instrumental in showing me support and I hope he feels the same from me.
It’s so awesome when people in similar industries can lose the ego’s and just share inspiration, friendly life experiences or just some “Japanese Prank” videos on YouTube together.
From just looking at his website vast array of eye candy, one may not realize the larger than life character that is Sean Davey. Â But once you meet this good ol’ bloke from Tasmania for the first time, you can never forget his charisma, strong accent, silly sense of humor and his ability to make anyone feel like “one of the crew”.
Oh and did I mention that Sean is married to one heck of a chick, Lane Davey who’s a prolific big wave competitive surfer and amazing breakdancer!? Â These two folks truly follow the path less traveled and I’m proud to call them friends.
In addition to Sean’s website and online store, I also sell his prints on my online shop internationally. Buy Sean’s work here.
Good Photos… Very good….
Thanks Jay. “no no, YOU da mayan! ha ha
