On August 8th, Chelsea and I went to see our friend Quincy Mumford perform at the VIP stage during the Jason Mraz and G. Love show at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ near our home.
We’re so stoked to see Quincy doing so well and having such great opportunities at the young age of 17. Â A few weeks prior he had opened up for our buddies Donavon Frankenreiter and Gary Jules at the Stone Pony. Â Not a bad way to enter into his senior year of high school I’d say.
After Quincy’s acoustic set , I walked over to meet up with Garrett to discover he had a line approximately 117 miles long waiting to snap pics with him and get autographs, but in his normally warm and welcoming ways he stopped the line for a moment to say hi and give a bro-hug when he saw me.
We got to catch up with G’s girlfriend and professional model, Sarah Frigo and Garrett’s tour manager’s Mike Hannigan while Garrett finished up with all the fans. He’s so appreciative of his success, it’s awesome to see whenever we’re around him. The whole bunch of them are such down-to-Earth and great people.
Quincy’s been a fan of G’s for years and it was a priveldge for us to introduce him to everyone. Â There’s something really awesome about bringing circles of creative friends together and this time was no different.
Thanks Quincy for the VIP passes and thanks Sarah, Mike and Garrett for the hang time!
