When I was live painting at the Fosters Belmar Pro recently, Mike Robertson came up to me and showed me his new surf tattoo that he got inspired from my surf art painting “Belmar Barrel”. Â He went on to tell me of his experiences after Hurricane Sandy plowed through the area and the unity and pride he felt during the recovery months. His admiration for my art, surfing and his home town moved him to get this inked.
Hearing the insight behind people’s inspiration which they derive from my art makes me realize that the time and passion that I put into my art is always worth it.
Surf Tattoo in Italy
David in Italy sent me this pic of his new surf  tattoo, inspired by my surf oil painting “Pot of Gold”. It’s such an honor when anyone commits so deeply to my art. When it’s someone from around the globe connecting with my artwork, that just adds another whole surreal element. I am so blessed to have such support!
