Last week I drove out to Long Beach, NY to live paint a surfboard for a special event for Crest New York Surf Clubs which is the world’s only private member wave pool based surf club.
I had three hours to take a blank board and turn it into art. This is what I came up with.

I painted on the rooftop deck, overlooking perfect waves at sunset to my left and the NYC skyline to my right.
I created this contemporary art design to be an ocean wave composition that was big enough to see from far away, with lots of swirly interesting shapes and energy.

Also a giant shout out of gratitude to my buddy John from Rozbern Surfboards who was able to get me this gorgeous custom-shaped board just on time.
