Asbury Park New Jersey’s 2nd Annual Music Festival commissioned Artist Jay Alders to create a surf-themed art mural for this year’s festival. Headline bands include The Dave Matthews Band and The Lumineers.
Getting the call to be a featured artist for this year’s Sea Hear Now was such a privilege. I’ve been a gigantic DMB fan for a couple of decades and my wife Chelsea and I love The Lumineers too. As if having a music festival of this magnitude in our backyard wasn’t cool enough, I also got to have my surf art as a backdrop was just surreal.

When I got to the venue, I saw people on line waiting to take a photo with my painting. What a great feeling that was for me. We waited out turn and took a pic as a family in front of it too.
